Day 8: Prayer focuses on the Kingdom of God: Part 1

Our anchor scripture for today is found in Matthew 6: 10 (NET) and it reads: “​may your kingdom come, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”  Jesus asks us here to pray that the Kingdom of God and his will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the same chapter, Jesus would later say that we should seek first the Kingdom of God above all else. It is fair to say that the Kingdom of God was a critical topic in the mind of Jesus, the kingdom of God was not only a critical concept in Jesus’ mind but the most dominant message of Jesus altogether.
