Day 4: Prayer begins with God

Our anchor scripture for today is found in Matthew 6: 9 (NET) and it reads: “​So, pray this way:​ ​Our Father​ ​in heaven, may your name be honored” The first line of the Lord’s Prayer begins with acknowledging God. The prayer starts with “Our Father”. This is deliberate as this principle of God first is found throughout the Bible. The lesson here is that our aim in prayer should not first be to what we need but who God is.
