As disciples of Jesus, we know we should pray. As a matter of fact, when Jesus taught on the subject, He would say “when you pray” ( Matthew 6:5,7) not if you pray. But despite knowing this intellectually, many of us still struggle with prayer and often feel guilty for how little we pray. And when we finally do make time to pray, we often don’t know what to say. As we begin our journey into a time of prayer and fasting, we will look to the Scriptures to see how Jesus taught his disciples how to pray.
