Day 12: The Parable of the Net

Our anchor scripture for today is found in Matthew 6: 10 (NET), which reads: “​may your kingdom come, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”  Jesus asks us here to pray that the Kingdom of God and his will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the same chapter, Jesus would later say that we should seek first the Kingdom of God above all else. In Chapter 13 of Matthew, Jesus explains the principle of the Kingdom of God. Each lesson in Chapter 13 instructs us on how to pray for the Kingdom of God. The fifth parable in Chapter 13 is the parable of the net, and the lesson from the parable is that within the kingdom God is the righteous Judge. He rules over good vs. evil. In the end, he will separate the good from the bad.
